"I started doing it, just to observe my day a little differently, most days are spent getting to the studio, drawing, thinking etc about briefs and I just wanted to look at things in another way, looking past the obvious, or just stating the obvious in a silly way. It’s the kind of mindfulness for example, you can look at a tree and think "that is a tree" or you can look at the shape of the tree, the colours of the leaves, the texture of the bark and the life forms that use it for a home. I wanted to try and apply this to everyday things."
